The students are getting the Nature Center and Garden ready for the Environmental Fair next month! We'll have information at the Fair about insects, fruits and vegetables, and hope to have beekeepers too. Whatever vegetables are ready will be harvested and washed by the students, ready to be sold and eaten.
We have been doing lots of weeding (like rust, the weeds never sleep!) and planting seeds in pony packs. We'll have varieties of tomatoes, peppers, melons, chard, kale and cilantro for sale at the Fair. The money from the plants will help to fund our program for items that we need in the Garden. In late winter the dwarf fruit trees will be out, and in late spring, the dwarf citrus will be ready. We want to be prepared to buy new trees for our Garden.
We look forward to seeing you there!
